.gators 24 sooners 14…gators are champions again!.
9 January 2009i’ve been a little nervous the past couple of weeks. there’s so much analysis, lots of predictions, and lots of trash talk in the month leading up to the game. but with all the hype of florida and oklahoma playing in the national championship, nothing really matters until they step on the field. thankfully, florida stepped up and won the game. i was especially impressed with our defense, who picked 2 critical passes, one of which was in the red zone. our red zone defense was phenomenal. it wasn’t until the final td pass to nelson with 3:07 left in the game that i finally breathed a sigh of relief. and of course we couldn’t have done it without tim tebow (click for video). he’s of course great on and off the field, and i share a unique love for the philippines with him. now with florida national champions again, that gives us 4 national championships in 3 years! (basketball 06, 07 football 06, 08) the gator nation is alive and kicking! it truly is great to be a florida gator!
