15 August 2007ok. so it’s been four months since i’ve posted anything. i guess i need to make a better habit of it. at least i can say i’ve been pretty busy. we have had, as typical for summers, quite an eventful summer. first of all, we are preparing for the arrival of our first son! this past weekend oleah and i set up his room and prepared some baby stuff to get ready. he’s due in exactly a month, but there’s no telling when he’ll actually decide to join us ex utero. this summer we had two college students living with us. val has now been living with us for a year and mercedes lived with us for just this summer. it has been quite an experience being the only man in the house, living with three adult females and two little girls! gabriel, the dog, has consoled me when we’ve needed some testosterone bonding time together. my son will help to even out the playing field! we attended six weddings so far of dear family and friends, two weddings of which i officiated. our bi-annual audit is over and done with at work, so it’s a huge relief to have it over. at church, we’re now in the process of reorganizing for the new school year, so lots of meetings and discussions about how to best utilize our resources have been going on. i have taken on the challenge of memorizing books of the bible this summer. i have now memorized philippians and jude. it’s been tremendously rewarding to memorize in this fashion! praise God for giving me the ability to do so! our family went to st. pete beach for a mini-vacation last month, so we’ve enjoyed the sun, ocean, and pools. oleah and i just celebrated our 5th anniversary! yay! we’re pumped that it has gone by so fast! we are excited at the rest of our lives together. pictures from this summer are all caught up on my site and on facebook, so check them out if you’re up for it. ok, that’s enough catching up for now.
